Jaguar Land Rover is to build a successor to its previous sports cars called the F-type at its factory in Birmingham. Jaguar’s F-type will be based on the C-X16 concept car and be the heir to its iconic sports cars of the past

Glorious 51 Years Of Jag’s E Type
Last week at the Geneva motor show, Jaguar put some small effort into celebrating the 51th anniversary of the iconic Jaguar E-Type, a car many feel is one of the most beautiful cars ever made.
The original E-Type was unveiled at the Geneva show in March 1961. It made a splash then and has continued to do so. Even New York’s Museum of Modern Art has given its nod of approval. In 1996 I was there on the night MOMA added a blue roadster to its permanent design collection. The only other car so honoured: a 1946 Cisitalia 202 GT.
The bullet-like design of the E-Type was the result of the mathematical and engineering talent of Malcolm Sayer and the E-type was the first large-scale production road car to be developed from the study of aerodynamics. … Read More…

The Birth Of The Jaguar C-X75 Concept Car
When Jaguar unveiled the C-X75 Concept car at the 2010 Paris Auto Show they showed everyone that they had plenty of potential left to uncover as an automaker. And, although the concept was a huge success and served its purpose, Jaguar still needed to prove that this potential prevailed in more than just a design study.
