Volvo Unveils S60 Polestar Concept
With a power pack of 508 horses the highly anticipated Volvo S60 Polestar performance concept made its world premiere on Saturday. And what makes this car unique is that it is one of the models developed by Volvo Cars Official Motorsports along with their racing and tuning partner Polestar, for a client who remains unnamed as yet.
The S60 Polestar performance pack consists of a 3.0-liter, straight-six highly tuned engine mated with modified combustion chambers, inlet manifold and conrods, and a large Garrett 3171 turbocharger which is capable of delivering a whopping 508-hp and 424 lb-ft of torque . Altogether, this gives the S60 Polestar the ability to sprint from 0-100 km/h (62 mph) in just under four seconds and top speed is said to be ‘more than 300kph‘! Usain Bolt Wrecked His BMW M3 Again!
Jamaican road runner Usain Bolt has once again crashed his E92 BMW M3. The cause of the accident is still unknown, but reports suggest that the speed demon was leaving a party when the incident happened, in St Andrew, Jamaica.
The Olympic champion crashed his luxury BMW motor car into guard rails at the busy Half Way Tree intersection shortly after (1000 GMT) Sunday.
The accident occurred just days after Bolt defeated Powell at the Diamond League meet in Oslo, Norway.
BMW Revels Its Full London Olympic Fleet
BMW, the official automotive partner for the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games, has revealed its full London 2012 fleet. The brand will have around 4,000 vehicles at the games assisting with any daily tasks.
From transferring athletes around the Olympic Village, towing horse ambulances or providing a mobile camera platform, a variety of different BMW and MINI cars will be on hand to ensure everything runs smoothly.
