Lamborghini Egoista: History Repeats Itself!

Attention readers! If you haven’t come across this monstrosity in the “world wild web”, don’t be alarmed. It’s not a car that you’d be racing from Mars to Sirius with. It’s the new Lamborghini launched just too 40 hours ago, and it’s already CONTROVERSIAL !

TORO! TORO!

TORO! TORO!

Being a 90′s kid, I’ve seen the births of many Lamborghinis right from the Gallardo and all it’s variants right up to the latest LP570-4, to the Murcielagos and its variants after the first LP640-4 was launched, the Reventon, Aventador, the Aventador J, the Urus etc etc. I remember a week before my 12th birthday I first read an article about “Lamborghini to hit Indian Shores” in the local newspapers and have followed the release of these bulls into our already chaotic land right from the start. Yes, at the risk of sounding a complete lunatic, it’s safe to say that I play Lamborghinis quite close to my chest. And in my last 9 years of lunacy, i must say that this must be the first time I didn’t wave my Muleta (the red cape used by the Matador) frantically to welcome this new bull in my life.… Read More…

Stars To Lend Their Glitter To The Dutch Highways

In this so called happening world, there is a way too much shortage of the power sources required for events to be happening. Disco nights, we need electricity, Bash ups, electricity? Sports carnival, electricity? Transportation, electricity? Now while I do not want to comment on the necessities of people breeding in the society but I would surely say that there is a necessity of genuine thinkers to get in line and start etching out something rather than random people commenting on this. And then you never know, what the outcome could be.  There has and will always be a group of voices in the lanes which would appeal for the sensible introduction of the “alter—native” sources of energy!!!! And now some of you may think, they already have. I didn’t deny that either.… Read More…

An Ode To The Red Master – Schumacher ‘Ferrari’ Michael

Michael Schumacher

They said 2012 has to be the end of the world. I never believed the protagonists who backed the theory. And then there was the day, the 4thof October, Michael Schumacher announced his retirement from the epitome of motorsports. You do not have to be a Martin Brundle to know the greatness of one of the truest ambassadors of the sport. Schumacher has become the starting letter for describing the consistency, dedication and passion of a person towards his work. And we are sad that we no longer will be able to look out for that Cherry colored helmet in one of the cockpits.… Read More…

F1 Successor (P1). Is it?

McLaren P1

McLaren P1

Unveiled just 9 days ahead of the Paris motor show to be held on 27th September, 2012, McLaren P1 is here for you. Dripping with McLaren’s eye popping orange, the P1’s official pictures just spread like wildfire all over the internet. The images clearly showcased the car after its teaser videos so far. Looks? My God that car is a beauty. With just a look of it, one can say the aesthetics of a mp4-12c purely studded in it, just an evolved MP4-12C to brief it up.

The powertrain has yet not been confirmed but the current speculations infer the same 3.8 litre twin turbo V8 engine as in the mp4-12c, but a little tweaked one producing an enormous 803 bhp. Adding to it is a fully functional KERS unit producing 160 bhp to a total 963 bhp. This is utterly hyper-car territory.  The unique claim by McLaren in this one was “the best aerodynamics”. … Read More…

Mercedes V12 To Go Silent, AMG To Take Over

Autoweek quotes that Mercedes Benz has decided to handover its prestigious art of making V12 engine to its in- house tuner AMG. Due to environmental concerns and rising fuel prices, automobile firms are downsizing their massive engine to get better efficiency. As for the new BMW M5, they have reduced the engine from beautiful V10 to turbocharged V8.  Likewise Mercedes has decided to stop the production of its own V12 engine.

However in contrast the brand which is synonymous with performance ,the AMG is well suited to build  its biggest and smoothest powerplants. AMG has a charismatic history of  delivering high performance engine since the very beginning. Even Pagani couldn’t escape the gravity of  it’s spectacular engineering, which is why they preferred to use V12 crafted by AMG for Huayra instead of making their own.… Read More…
