Ace Under It’s Sleeves – Await Of The Merc’s New SLS AMG Black Series Edition

It turns out there’s a new addition to the exotic Mercedes-Benz’s range. Behold, the Black Series Edition of the German firm’s flagship sports car – SLS AMG ‘Gullwing’ coupe.

It was first spotted by the carscoop back in October of 2011, at which time however, photographers scooped another set of images of a prototype model while AMG engineers were performing cold weather tests in Europe.

The Black Series nameplate is reserved for the more hardcore versions of Mercedes’ AMG sports cars. For the SLS AMG model, the package will bring more power, a lighter body, a tweaked chassis and a more purposeful appearance.… Read More…

Mercedes Prematurely Revealed A Facelifted G-class Prior To Beijing Motor Show

The updated Mercedes G-Class image has been prematurely leaked on the web.  The 33-year-old G-class will receive its planned public premiere at next month’s Beijing motor show

The reworked version of the German carmaker’s iconic military-grade SUV, planned to go on sale in European markets in June with North American deliveries slated to begin by the end of this year, can be seen in the background of an official photograph of the facelifted GLK posted on the Mercedes-Benz media Web site.… Read More…

Formula 1- Hamilton Claims Pole Position Again

The 27-year-old F1 racer from Hertfordshire qualified fastest in hot and humid Malaysia this morning (Saturday) for his 21st pole of his career.

Jenson Button will complete an all-McLaren front row – just as in Australia.

The Vodafone McLaren Mercedes driver from Herts clocked a flying lap of 1m 36.2s around the Sepang International Circuit near Kuala Lumpur to bag provisional pole position on his first run in Q3.

The McLaren pitwall told Hamilton: “You are currently P1 by 0.4s. Great job.”

Mercedes’ Invisible Car: Video

Seriously, its insane but true. Mercedes has taken a rather unique approach to the marketing of its latest F-Cell vehicle, making it invisible (if you don’t pay much attention) to the general public.

The new fuel cell car produces zero emissions, meaning it’s invisible to the environment, and Mercedes emphasized this by placing hundreds of individual LEDs across one side of the vehicle while mounting a Canon 5D Mark II camera on the opposite side. 60 years of the Mercedes-Benz SL

Only a tiny number of cars have been unquestioned status symbols for six straight decades. The Mercedes-Benz SL is one of them, and – just like another one, coincidentally – it’s new for this year. Although “Magic Sky Control” doesn’t have the same classic ring as “pagoda roof,” the R231 2013 SL aims to keep the streak going.
